Rome, 7 May 2025 – The 2024 turnover of companies associated with Univendita amounted to €1.56 billion, confirming the results of the previous year. Among the product categories, durable household goods continue to account for the lion’s share with €697 million in revenues (45% of the total), food products are worth €414 million (26%), followed by cosmetics and personal care at €256 million (16%), household consumer goods at €120 million (8%) and finally other goods and services at €76 million (5%). The number of sales representatives employed by member companies is close to 137,000, with women accounting for almost 90% of the total.
These are the figures that emerged during the annual meeting of the largest direct sales association, a member of Confcommercio. The Univendita event, which was attended by 14 member companies, was hosted this year by BoFrost Italia at its headquarters in San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone).
Ciro Sinatra, president of Univendita, commented: “Despite the complicated economic scenario in 2024 and the difficulties in recruiting new salespeople – a problem that affects the entire country – the turnover of Univendita companies confirmed the results of the previous year. This testifies to the intrinsic strength of the sector, which has the human and material resources to perform well even in a challenging macroeconomic environment. Flexibility and organisational autonomy, remuneration commensurate with commitment, career prospects and free ongoing training,’ concluded Sinatra, ’are the elements we put in place every day to make working in direct sales increasingly attractive and rewarding”.
